TTnet members at nopi this past weekend. Nopi is always a damn stressful show to make, especially when you add a dog and g/f to the mix. But luckily all went smooth and we had good weather and good times.Had a ton of people introduce themselves and was great to meet all of you. Really appreciated the kind words on the z. Just like last year, there were some awesome Z's there and some z's that make you go "hmmmm"! Canh's car is still one of my favorites, but ruzzells new widebody convertable changed my mine about both silver Z's & convertables - looked awesome...color was amazing and the bastard somehow got a bigger wheel lip than me even though he's on the same size rims!! Lots of funky cars at the show and lots of nice cars as always, i didnt bother to walk around and take pics this year. Some reason i just had no desire to do so. Guess i was just tired from the long drive, the long lines, the lack of sleep, and the hours of cleaning before the show. On a bad note...my z had some paint issues spring up (literally) around 4pm on sturady. Saturday was the hotter and sunnier of the two days and my passenger side rear 1/4 panel was in direct sunlight all day. There had not be a single imperfection on her until about 4pm when all of a sudden about 20 bubbles appeared on the 1/4 panel. Long story short, i had rushed my b'shop guy to repaint the rear when he was touching things up so i could make the HIN show in Bmore and he didnt have time to let the sealer properly set, so it appears the sun heated it up (only in that 1 spot) and rose about 20-30 bubhles that day. Kinda ruined my day, but i'm dropping the Z off to him 2nite w/ hopes that he can redo the rear end in time for Zcon! We're still at the hotel but getting ready to head back on the 7-8hr drive. THe hoe did fine until 45 minutes into our wait to load the car in Friday night....she then decided to loose the brake booster. So now she has no power assist...should be a fun ride home w/ the trailer! Thanks again to all those who introduced themselves & hung out w/ us. Was good seeing the people i knew & great meeting new faces. Those that care.....the Tahoe took 3rd place (seriously must have only been 3 tahoe's entered cuz ours was DIRTY) and the Z won 1st for Z mild & 1st for overal asian sports coupe wild. Plus i got to finish the photo shoot for HCI who is telling them i'll have the cover for their December issue which is a widebody special. Hope everyone made it home safetly (shawn/chad) and was a great time!
